I built this piece to hang on the wall but I shot it horizontally. Working title, "Trixie", because when I first started concept drawings I had her doing tricks on a big red ball. Working on that idea this summer.

Introducing the first sculpture series from Mike Rivamonte. Standing 29 inches tall these rocketships show all the dings, wear and tear one can get from years of traveling through space. Illuminated with "Free Ms" from the brilliant minds at Thing M. Rotocast in resin they are handpainted by the artist signed and numbered with a certificate of authenticity. The Edition is 30. Allow four weeks for delivery.

Scout selected for the 18th Annual Spectrum: The Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art Juried Competition 2011! An international competition for traditional, digital and dimensional artists. The Spectrum 18 jury consisted of Julie Bell, Nathan Fox, Greg Manchess, Brandon & Jarrod Shiflett, Boris Vallejo, and Shena Wolf. This is the fourth year my work has been showcased in Spectrum. Scout was constructed with vintage bicycle parts from the 1930s and 40s, old upholstery leather and camera straps. Scout’s rocket ship was constructed from wood and vintage tin with LED electronics for lighting. The piece stands 26” inches tall. Here is a short video on Thing M's Blog.
